1 Person Hospitalized in DUI Crash at Newhall Avenue Gas Station

 
SANTA CLARITA, CA (May 30, 2023) — One person was injured in a DUI accident at a Newhall Avenue gas station near Sierra Highway.
 
According to a spokeswoman for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, the accident happened around 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.
 
At a Chevron gas station on Newhall Avenue, a 32-year-old Canyon Country resident in a white Ford F-150 reportedly backed into a person. The victim was putting air in his car’s tires when the Ford reversed into his vehicle, pushing it into the victim.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded to the scene and took the patient to a hospital for medical care. As for the unidentified Ford driver, he underwent a sobriety test, which confirmed that he was under the influence at the time of the accident.
 
Police arrested him on suspicion of a misdemeanor charge of DUI causing injury.
