CARPINTERIA, CA (January 20, 2022) — One person was injured in Wednesday’s bicycle accident on the Bailard Avenue on-ramp at Highway 101.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the bicycle crash occurred around 5:45 a.m. For unknown reasons, a driver turning onto the highway on-ramp at Bailard Avenue struck the bicyclist on the on-ramp to the highway.
 
Shortly after, paramedics responded and brought the victim to Cottage Hospital in unknown condition.
