1 Person Dies in Multi-Car Crash on 105 Freeway

 
PARAMOUNT, CA (January 18, 2022) — One person died in a multi-car accident on the 105 Freeway near Garfield Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal multi-car collision happened around 3:30 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, multiple cars collided, including a Toyota Prius and a semi-truck.
 
Reports indicated that a person became trapped inside the Prius in the carpool lane, where it was fully engulfed in flames.
 
Shortly after, authorities responded and confirmed one person had died.
 
At this time, detectives have not confirmed the ultimate circumstances of the crash. Although, any witnesses with information should reach out to the CHP.
