1 Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Driver on 215 Freeway in San Bernardino

 
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (January 2, 2023) — A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car on the 215 Freeway near the 210 Freeway early Thursday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred around 1:18 a.m. Under unclear circumstances, a car struck a person who was either walking or riding a bike along the 215 South Freeway. Soon after, CHP officers responded to the scene of the crash, near the 210 Freeway transition ramp, to find the person lying by the center divider.
 
Immediately, paramedics rendered CPR efforts to the unresponsive individual, whom paramedics pronounced dead shortly after.
 
As for the driver involved, he or she stayed at the scene and cooperated with police investigators.
