Palmdale Woman Dies in Antelope Valley Crash, Marybell Delgadillo and Maria Lozano Sustain Injuries

 
ANTELOPE VALLEY, CA (March 1, 2022) – One person died while Marybell Delgadillo and Maria Delapaz Lozano sustained injuries in a traffic accident on Highway 18 in Antelope Valley Sunday afternoon.
 
The crash happened around 1:15 p.m. on February 27, just west of 263rd Street East. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 48-year-old female victim from Palmdale was driving a 2020 Harley-Davidson motorcycle with a male passenger. They were heading eastbound when they traveled over the double yellow lines into the westbound lane.
 
The pair collided head-on into a 2021 Toyota that was traveling westbound on the highway.
 
As a result, the Palmdale woman died at the scene. Her passenger suffered major injuries.
 
Delgadillo, 31, and Lozano, 67, both from Littlerock, were occupants in the Toyota. They sustained minor injuries.
 
At this time, it is unknown if alcohol and/or drugs played a role in the crash. An investigation is underway.
