Fatal Car and Train Accident on Lincoln Boulevard near Ferrari Ranch Road in Lincoln

 
LINCOLN, CA (September 28, 2022) – An adult died and a juvenile sustained injuries in a train accident on Lincoln Boulevard, Monday evening.
 
According to the Lincoln Police Department, the incident happened on September 26, at about 5:30 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a northbound Union Pacific Train and a westbound vehicle collided near Ferrari Ranch Road.
 
The impact of the crash caused the train to push the vehicle along the railroad tracks. Then, the vehicle came to rest off the tracks in the area of Auburn Ravine.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the driver of the vehicle dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Meanwhile, responders transported a juvenile passenger to UC Davis Trauma Center. The victim’s condition remains unknown.
 
Lincoln police and Union Pacific continue to investigate the cause of the fatal accident.
