Police Arrest Bryan Grayley for DUI after Fatal Crash in Long Beach

 
LONG BEACH, CA (May 8, 2022) – One person died and police arrested Bryan Grayley for DUI after a deadly crash in Long Beach on Tuesday night.
 
The accident happened around 6:21 p.m. on May 3. According to the Long Beach Police Department, a 2017 Subaru Outback and a 1995 GMC Yukon were both traveling westbound on Willow Street at a high rate of speed when the Subaru struck the GMC Yukon from behind.
 
The impact caused the Yukon to leave the roadway and land upside down in the flood control channel below the roadway.
 
Responding firefighters found the drivers with injuries from the crash. They transported both to local hospital, where the driver of the Yukon died.
 
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office only identified the victim as a 53-year-old Compton man.
 
Police later arrested Grayley, a 66-year-old Long Beach resident, for felony DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter
 
Grayley’s bail is at $100,000.00.
 
At this time, speed and impaired driving are believed to be factors in the crash.
