Morning Multi-Vehicle Accident on 215 Freeway in Canyon Springs Ends in Fatality

 
CANYON SPRINGS, CA (November 11, 2021) – At least one person died and six others suffered critical injuries in a multi-vehicle accident on 215 Freeway in the Canyon Springs area of Riverside Thursday morning.
 
The accident happened just after 7:00 a.m. on November 11, at Box Springs Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a Toyota 4-door sedan cut off an Enterprise box truck and a Ford pickup truck, causing a collision.
 
When officers arrived, they located five people trapped in their vehicles.
 
Paramedics rushed a child to a hospital with head injuries from the crash. Six others were critically injured and were also hospitalized.
 
Sadly, at least one of the patients did not survive and was pronounced dead. Authorities withheld the identity of the deceased pending next of kin notification.
 
At this time, this fatal crash is still under investigation.
