Fatal Two-Vehicle Accident on Hoover Avenue in Indio

 
INDIO, CA (June 27, 2022) – One person died and five other people sustained injuries in a car accident on Hoover Avenue in Indio on Friday night, June 24.
 
The accident happened just before 6:00 p.m. at Fred Waring Drive. According to the Indio Police Department, two vehicles collided at the intersection for unknown reasons.
 
Responding firefighters extricated two people from the wreckage.
 
Despite life-saving efforts, one person died at the scene. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics transported five others to a local hospital, including two with major injuries.
 
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
