Two-Vehicle Accident on 105 Freeway in Lynwood Leaves 1 with Fatal Injuries

 
LYNWOOD, CA (November 13, 2021) – One person died and five others suffered injuries in a traffic accident on 105 Freeway Saturday morning.
 
The accident happened around 5:40 a.m. on November 13, just east of Long Beach Boulevard. According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, two vehicles collided on the eastbound freeway for unknown reasons.
 
As a result, one person suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the deceased pending next of kin notification.
 
Meanwhile, paramedics transported five other people to area hospitals with unspecified injuries.
 
Crews issued a SigAlert around 6:10 a.m., closing the first and carpool lanes of the eastbound freeway at Long Beach Boulevard for approximately two hours while they cleared the wreckage.

The exact cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
