Two-Car Crash on Highway 62 in Desert Hot Springs Kills One and Injures Five Others

 
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (July 6, 2021) – One person was killed and five others sustained injuries after two-car accident on Highway 62 in Desert Hot Springs early Sunday morning.
 
The accident happened just before 2:00 a.m. on July 4, at the intersection with Pierson Boulevard. According to the Riverside County Fire Department, two cars collided for unknown reasons.
 
Arriving units pronounced one person died at the scene. The identity of the deceased was not immediately available.
 
Paramedics transported five other people to a hospital, three of them suffered serious injuries.
 
At this time, officials are still investigating the exact cause of the crash and factors involved.
