Accident on Woodley Avenue in Van Nuys Kills One and Injures Five

VAN NUYS, CA (October 26, 2021) – One person died and five others suffered injuries after a vehicle struck a restaurant at 7600 Woodley Avenue in Van Nuys Sunday evening.
 
The crash happened around 8:05 p.m. on October 24, at Saticoy Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. It was unknown why the driver crashed. The make of the vehicle was not immediately available.
 
First responders pronounced one person dead at the scene. The person’s name was withheld pending family notification.
 
Paramedics evaluated five others, who suffered non-life-threatening injuries. It was unclear if the driver was hurt.
 
LAFD’s Urban Search and Rescue team was evaluating the stability of the building.
