Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 79 in San Jacinto Leaves 1 Dead

 
SAN JACINTO, CA (July 27, 2022) – One person was killed and two others were injured in a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 79 in San Jacinto on Tuesday morning, July 26.
 
The accident happened around 9:00 a.m. on the southbound side of the highway near Gilman Springs Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, three vehicles including a tractor-trailer collided for unknown reasons. One of the vehicles overturned after the crash.
 
The Riverside County Fire Department crews responded and pronounced one person dead at the scene.
 
Paramedics took two other people to hospitals for treatment of minor to moderate injuries.
 
The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
