Early Morning Two-Vehicle Accident on Ramona Expressway in San Jacinto Kills 1 Driver and Seriously Injures the Other

 
SAN JACINTO, CA (January 31, 2023) – One person died and another was seriously injured after a two-vehicle accident on Ramona Expressway on the north end of San Jacinto early Monday morning.
 
The fatal accident happened around 1:00 a.m. on January 30, just west of San Jacinto Avenue. According to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, two vehicles collided for unknown reasons. The impact left both drivers trapped inside the wreckage.
 
County fire personnel extricated the drivers and transported both to a regional trauma center, where one of them later died.
 
The other driver remained in serious condition Monday afternoon.
 
The two were sole occupants of their vehicles. Neither of them was identified.
 
An investigation into this crash is ongoing. Authorities urged anyone with further information to contact the sheriff’s San Jacinto station at 951-766-2366.
