Motorist Dies after Crash with Another Vehicle on Point Reyes-Petaluma Road in Marin County

 
MARIN COUNTY, CA (December 12, 2022) – One person died and another was seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident on Point Reyes-Petaluma Road in Marin County Saturday afternoon.
 
The accident happened a little before 1:22 p.m. on December 10, just north of Hicks Valley Road. According to the CHP, a 2000 Subaru Impreza was traveling southbound on wet road conditions when it lost control. It then crossed into the northbound lane and collided with a 1999 Honda Accord.
 
The driver of the Subaru, a 22-year-old Petaluma man, died at the scene.
 
The Honda driver, a 58-year-old Olema resident, sustained major non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
 
The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation. Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash.
