DUI Accident on Highway 41 in Central Fresno Sends 1 Driver to Hospital

 
FRESNO, CA (December 7, 2021) – One person suffered injuries and another was arrested after a DUI accident on Highway 41 in central Fresno, late Sunday evening.
 
The accident happened around 11:30 p.m. on December 5 along the southbound lanes of the highway near Shields Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, an SUV was going south on the highway when another car collided into it.
 
The impact caused the SUV to roll onto its side while the other car crashed into the center median.
 
Paramedics arrived and transported the driver of the SUV to a hospital for treatment of their injuries.
 
Meanwhile, the other driver was not injured. Police arrested them on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
 
The accident is still under investigation.
