Person Hospitalized after Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 101 near Milpas Street in Santa Barbara

 
SANTA BARBARA, CA (April 25, 2022) – One person needed hospitalization following a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 101 on Friday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on April 22, at about 5:00 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, three vehicles collided near the southbound Milpas Street offramp.
 
A short time later, two more vehicles became involved in the collision.
 
At 6:02 p.m., responders reported minor injuries. Emergency crews transported one person to Cottage Hospital for treatment.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
