MONTEREY COUNTY, CA (July 19, 2022) — One person died in a motorcycle accident on Highway 1 near Bixby Bridge on Monday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal motorcycle accident happened around 3:17 p.m. For unknown reasons, a motorcyclist and a car crashed near Bixby Bridge.
 
Due to the nature of the crash, the unidentified motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries.
 
Nearly two hours later, officials had a one-way traffic control in place just north of the bridge.
