MENDOCINO COUNTY, CA (December 2, 2024) — One person died in a head-on accident on Highway 1 near Caspar Bridge.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal two-car crash happened around 9:55 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Tragically, two drivers crashed near the Caspar Bridge in Mendocino County. Subsequently, authorities and tow trucks responded to the scene to assist with removing the heavily damaged vehicles.
 
The highways were closed for several hours as law enforcement and cleanup crews worked during the night. One person passed away in the accident, but authorities did not release the person’s name.
