1 Killed in Multi-Car Accident on 710 Freeway in Long Beach

 
LONG BEACH, CA (May 27, 2022) — One person died in a multi-car crash on the 710 Freeway near Long Beach Boulevard on Thursday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal multi-vehicle collision happened around 3:02 a.m. For unknown reasons, three vehicles collided in the middle lanes of the 710 Freeway, including a white Toyota Tundra and a white sedan.
 
At some point, one of the cars collided with a big rig, possibly trapping one person inside before the car ruptured into flames.
 
Soon after, firefighter-paramedics and officers arrived at the scene and confirmed one fatality.
 
At this time, the primary cause of the crash is not available. However, an ongoing investigation should clarify any unclear details.
