1 Killed, 2 Hospitalized in Hit-and-Run Crash near 16th Street in San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (January 24, 2023) — One person died, and two were injured in a hit-and-run accident on 16th Street and Capp Street.
According to the San Francisco Police Department, the first crash happened around 2:00 a.m. Sunday. Upon responding, officers found an adult female with non-life-threatening injuries who was involved in a pedestrian crash. The suspect, however, fled the scene shortly after.
Moments later, the suspect reportedly crashed into another vehicle at 16th Street and Potrero Street. Officials responded to that one, and paramedics took the driver who fled the initial crash, as well as the second driver, to a hospital.
Unfortunately, the driver involved in the second crash died from his injuries at a hospital. The suspect who was involved in both crashes suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
