Man Critically Injured in Two-Vehicle T-Bone Accident on Kiowa Road in Apple Valley

 
APPLE VALLEY, CA (February 7, 2022) – A man sustained serious injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Kiowa Road, Friday afternoon.
 
According to the Apple Valley Fire Protection District, the incident happened on February 4 at about 12:14 p.m. As per reports, a Tesla was attempting to pass vehicles when it T-boned a Honda that was turning left into the Hilltop Tavern and Inn.
 
The impact of the collision trapped the Honda driver in the wreckage. Firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate the driver.
 
A Mercy Air 22 helicopter later transported the Honda driver to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. The extent of the victim’s injuries remains undisclosed.
 
The Victorville CHP Station continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
