MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)

This procedure does not use radiation, instead uses magnets and radio waves.
Patient should not have metal anywhere on or in person to do MRI.
You may be given a gown and hearing protection.
The procedure may use dye because it helps see things in the body more clearly.
The MRI machine is a big tube that’s open on both ends and has a loud clanging noise that is made by magnets, not by any moving parts.
Patient needs to stay still for the entire procedure.
