AUBURN, CA (September 19, 2024) — A woman died in a pedestrian accident on Edgewood Road near Blitz Lane.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal pedestrian accident occurred around 8:17 p.m. Thursday. Under unclear circumstances, a Ford van struck the 73-year-old woman east of Blitz Lane. Soon after, emergency responders arrived and took the seriously injured woman to Sutter Roseville Medical Center where she passed away.
 
At this time, the Placer County Coroner’s Office has yet to notify her family members and release her identity.
 
Reports did not say what led to the accident or offer information on the driver. However, the CHP Auburn office is investigating this case further.
