Pedestrian Dies Days after San Jose Accident on Santa Teresa Boulevard

 
SAN JOSE, CA (January 2, 2024) – A woman died days after a pedestrian accident on Santa Teresa Boulevard, authorities announced.
 
According to the San Jose Police Department, the incident happened on December 18, at about 6:00 p.m. The victim was walking on the sidewalk at the entrance of a shopping center when a vehicle hit her in the 6200 block of Santa Teresa Boulevard.
 
The vehicle was reportedly trying to exit the parking lot prior to the collision.
 
Emergency crews transported the victim to a local hospital. As per reports, the woman was already in stable condition. However, she died six days later on Christmas Eve.
 
Authorities withheld the identity of the victim.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
 
San Jose police continue to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Anyone with additional information is asked to call SJPD at (408) 277-4654.
