Fatal Pedestrian Crash on 805 Freeway in North Park Area

 
NORTH PARK, CA (October 4, 2023) – One person was killed in a pedestrian crash on 805 Freeway in the North Park area of San Diego early Tuesday morning on October 3.
 
The fatality was reported around 4:38 p.m. at the intersection with 15 Freeway. According to the CHP, a black Chevrolet pickup truck reportedly hit the male pedestrian while he was in the road.
 
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
 
CHP officers said evidence on scene indicated several other vehicles had also struck the victim.
 
The San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death.
 
Further investigation is underway.
